Growing up in front of the camera leaves you with photos that you would prefer no one ever see! My mom is a photographer and I love how she captured our family as I grew up. As I got older I helped my mom out at weddings loading film and switching out batteries and I swore I would never be a photographer.

To avoid the photography path I headed to school to study journalism. Something was pulling me but I couldnt define it. I spent time in the marketing/public relations world for an architecture firm and still didnt feel like I was where I was supposed to be.

One night, several months after my son was born, as I rocked him to sleep I thought about how Ill tell him how important it is to follow your dreams. And then it hit me that I wasnt doing that.

A couple months later I left my job to pursue my dream - photography. What a ride weve been on since that decision! We are loving it and truly cherish the new friendships were making with our clients.
